It all started with Sarah ten years ago. She was my first photo shoot with a professional model.
I was primarily a nature, landscape, event, and commercial photographer, but I wanted to work on my portrait skills. I came across Sarah’s portfolio online and a light went on. Working with a professional model might help my portrait skills. I booked two photo shoots. I was nervous about working with a professional model so I booked two shoots in case the first shoot didn’t go as well as I expected.
Both shoots went well and I learned a lot. Sarah enjoyed working with me and she sent some models my way that she knew well. Those models sent more models my way and it grew from there.
I knew I was making progress when a professional model in New York City found me online and sent me a message. She wrote, as best as I can recall, “You have a real gift for creating beautiful images of women. If you are ever in New York, let me know.”
And it all started with Sarah.
